Gilbert R. Meadows, M.D.
Founder of South Texas Spinal Clinic, Dr. Meadows received the degree of Medical Doctor at Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana in 1975. Upon graduation from medical school, he entered the United States Navy where he completed his Internship and Residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the U.S. Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, Virginia. Upon completion of his Residency, Dr. Meadows completed a Spinal Fellowship in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in 1980. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, Bexar County Medical Society, Academic Orthopedic Society, North American Spine Society, and is a Fellow of the American Orthopedic Society. Dr. Meadows possess a keen interest in Medical Education. In addition to numerous lectures and published articles, he has served as Clinical Assistant Professor at The University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio. He is currently Program Director of the Spinal Fellowship program at the South Texas Spinal Clinic.
