About Dr. Pipkin
C. Stuart Pipkin III, MD, is an orthopedic spine surgeon at South Texas Spinal Clinic, serving patients in Boerne, New Braunfels, and San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Pipkin has a special interest in minimally invasive spine surgery.
Dr. Pipkin received his Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He then received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, in 1983. He completed both his general internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Upon completing his residency, Dr. Pipkin continued his studies with a spinal fellowship at Tulane University and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Pipkin is currently a clinical instructor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. In addition, he has written several medical articles and delivered educational presentations to physicians at medical meetings.
