Miranda E. Shalek, PA-C

Miranda Shalek is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in orthopedic spine and neurosurgery. She has experience across inpatient and outpatient settings, caring for patients throughout the surgical continuum from initial evaluation through postoperative recovery.

Miranda earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center and a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Texas State University. She has first assisted in complex spinal procedures, independently evaluated pre- and postoperative patients, and developed individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. She brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to patient care and values clear communication to help patients feel informed and supported.

Miranda is known for her calm demeanor, strong clinical judgment, and collaborative work style with surgeons and multidisciplinary care teams.

Outside of work, Miranda enjoys spending time with her husband, Brant, and their two golden retrievers, Gus and Moose, being outdoors at the lake, reading, and playing board games with family and friends.
