Notice of Data Security Incident

South Texas Spinal Clinic (“STSC”) is providing notification of a recent data security incident. This notice includes information about the incident, our response, and steps potentially impacted parties may take to protect against possible misuse of their information, should they feel it necessary to do so.
What Happened? On June 4, 2026, STSC became aware of suspicious activity related to its network. Upon discovery, STSC immediately took steps to secure the environment and engaged a third-party forensic firm to investigate the incident. As a result, STSC learned that certain files were accessed by an unauthorized third party. STSC is conducting a diligent review of the files to identify whether they contained personal information or protected health information and, if so, what information was included and to whom that information relates. The investigation is currently ongoing.
What Information Was Involved? The review to determine what information was impacted is ongoing. Upon completion of the review, STSC will send notice letters to those impacted, with a complete list of the information that was affected.
