My Comeback Story: DARLENE N.
Pain Free now for months
I live with multiple sclerosis, and several years ago, I suffered a fall that resulted in a vertebral fracture requiring kyphoplasty. That injury compounded the cumulative physical strain of thirty-six years as an emergency room nurse, ultimately causing significant damage to my sacroiliac joints. The pain became profoundly debilitating. Standing or walking for even brief periods felt as though my pelvis was being crushed. I grew increasingly homebound, fearful of situations such as the time I was unable to make it from my car to my physician’s office because the pain was so overwhelming. I am deeply grateful that I found Dr. Lou. She was the first physician to accurately diagnose the source of my pain. Because of her clinical insight, she was able to initiate targeted steroid injections that provided remarkable relief. Several months ago, she performed an ablation procedure, and I remain pain-free. Her expertise restored not only my mobility but also my independence and quality of life. I am sincerely thankful for her skill, attentiveness, and commitment to getting the diagnosis right when others had not.
